Vancouver Metro Area
 Most of British Columbia's population lives in the southwest corner of the province, in the urban area known as Metro Vancouver. Major air, highway, railway and ocean transportation corridors connect this region with the rest of North America and the world. The Vancouver and Metropolitan area's strategic location on Canada's west coast gives it access to markets in Pacific Rim countries, creating enormous economic potential. Unemployment rates are at their lowest in 30 years, and more new jobs are being created every year.
 The climate is mild, with warm sunny summers and cool moist winters. The region is home to diverse cultures with many newcomers from other parts of the world. Immigrants from Asia, India, the Philippines and the United States and other parts of the world are choosing to live and work in this region. The spectacular beauty of the valleys, mountains and beaches in this region offer countless opportunities for year-round outdoor recreation. Vancouver will host the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and the 2010 Winter Paralympic Games.
